Working with the vision of empowering the life choices of the people we support, our services include 24-hour support, visiting support, skills development in relation to employment, respite care and innovative day opportunities.

 

Opportunities have arisen to join our team at our service located in Inverurie. We have 24 individuals that we support in a housing support service environment where they have their own flats.

 

A typical day starts with providing morning personal care routine, this may include support with showering, going to the toilet and getting dressed.  Medication, cleaning and finances are also a daily responsibility for members of staff.  The people we support enjoy going for walks, music, watching films and attending social clubs.

 

This post will include evening and weekend work in accordance with the needs of the service.

 

Some of the challenges the people we support face include autisim, dialysis, epilepsy, limited communication, mobility challenges and emotional support.

An opportunity has arisen to join the team at Bredero, here we support people with learning disabilities in their own homes to enable them to live their day to day lives as independently as possible.

During the week we typically support individuals to attend a day centre or go to their work placements. On their days off we support them by attending their chosen activities with them or support them to maintain their house as well as other tasks such as shopping. The team at this project have built great relationships with the people we support, they all have a great sense of humour and our staff always take the time to listen and empower them.

There are a variety of shifts available including evening and weekend work and sleepovers.   A flat rate payment is made for sleep–in duties, these opportunities will be subject to membership of the PVG Scheme.  This role would include an element of personal care.

We have 4 individuals on the autistic spectrum that we support in a shared living environment where they have their own bedrooms but the kitchen, bathrooms and living areas are all shared.  1 person lives in annex, a subordinate to the main building.

Opportunities have arisen to join our services in Balmedie and Ellon. Our autism specific project in Balmedie supports two gentlemen with autism. In Ellon we support one person with learning disabilities.

At Balmedie, we provide an active day service to meet the needs of the people we support with a range of day to-day activities i.e. swimming, cinema, walking, eating out. The job also entails assisting both men to maintain their tenancies; participate in household tasks, as well as supporting them with some personal care.  At Ellon staff lone work, and support the person to go to their day centre, we also support them with household tasks and personal care.

Our staff enjoy working at these projects because the work is varied and rewarding, staff also get to spend quality time with the people we support and see them develop and enjoy life.

These posts require staff to work between these two services and will include evening and weekend work as required. A flat rate payment is made for being on call and also for any sleep–in duties. Applicants must have a driving license for the position in Ellon and these opportunities will be subject to membership of the PVG Scheme.

Inspire support over 400 adults and young people, providing services based on individual need. Founded in 1988, almost three decades of experience helps the organisation to provide bespoke support solutions  based around outcomes developed though our outcome based support planning process. Today Inspire employs over 500 members of staff in 50 services across the region.

 Inspire aims to empower the life choices of adults, young people and children with learning disabilities and additional support needs in North East Scotland. The organisation employs over 500 staff and provides a range of more than 50 services throughout Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire and Moray.

An opportunity has arisen to join one of our projects based in Inverurie & Huntly area. Here we support people in their own homes and we currently support a number of people with varying abilities and with support hours from 5 to 45 hours per week depending on their support needs. All support is lone working and the hours are mainly evenings and weekends however we do have support hours throughout the day.  We also support a lady in the Huntly area for 20 hours per week on Mondays, Thursdays & Fridays. 

 You would be responsible to help individuals with activities such as shopping, meal planning, social events and housekeeping to enable them to live their lives as independently as possible.  There may be elements of personal care but this would be limited dependent on the individual’s needs.

Working alongside the people we support at this project is very rewarding, every day can be different and we all enjoy seeing the people we support develop, and feel valued in the local community.

These opportunities will be subject to membership of the PVG Scheme.

A typical morning would involve prompting individuals to get up, staff support with personal care which can include showering & bathing.  Staff support with helping the people we support make and eat at meal times. 

 

Administering medication, finances and cleaning are daily responsibilities for support staff.  Staff support with meal planning, shopping, attending events & input to the support plan including risk assessments. 

 

The challenges the people we support face include epilepsy, support with mental health, mobility challenges & poor eyesight or hearing loss etc.

An opportunity has arisen to join our Housing Support Services in the Peterhead area.  The post offers a fantastic opportunity to lead teams to support individuals to manage their tenancies and lead meaningful and successful lives


The Support Manager will:

  • work with teams and Regional Managers to meet the expectations of the people we support and ensure continuous quality improvement in relation to both internal and external standards
  • adhere to all relevant policies, procedures and legislation as well as the SSSC Codes of Practice

  • work in accordance with Inspire’s Vision, Mission and Core Values

  • proactively engage with families, external partners and regulators to establish reciprocal relationships

    • deliver support as part of the service rota

As Head of Finance & Corporate Services, you will be accountable for our Finance & Corporate Services requirements for both existing services and new developing opportunities.

 You will have overall responsibility for the financial governance of the organisation, all company budgets and submission of operational budgets. You will continuously forecast and report on the outcomes of our services, paying particular attention to those in deficit. You will take lead in statutory annual audits, ensuring compliance with charity regulations.  You will line manage the Finance Team Lead and the supporting team in day-to-day processes.

You will also have overall responsibility for the development and management of our IT strategy and business administration.  You will line manage our Business Team Leader to offer support to our services to operate as effectively as possible with IT systems.   

You will assist in the preparation and submission of tenders, financially and commercially, maintain relationships with local authorities and other professionals, handle legal matters & ensure the best use of the organisations assets.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated SVQ Assessor and Internal Verifier to support our staff through assessment work as they undertake their SVQ qualifications in Social Services & Healthcare. 

You will be responsible for the effective delivery of SVQ awards in accordance with the SVQ Centre Standards.  You will be involved with planning and creating of policies and procedures around the SVQ process, facilitating classroom sessions and observing candidates at their workplace.

You will work proactively to meet agreed timescales and contribute to relevant meetings in the wider team.

The post holder must have an SVQ/NVQ (or equivalent) in healthcare at Level 3 or above and a nationally recognised Assessor and Internal Verifier qualification.   

You will also be required to travel in this role so a driver’s license and car would be desirable.
